Dating back to 1895, the Van Cortlandt clubhouse proudly stands as the oldest public golf course in the United States. Our restoration efforts focused on revitalizing the bar, lounge, pro shop, locker room, and public restrooms. Significantly, the lockers boast a rich history, having served renowned figures such as Babe Ruth and the Three Stooges. To enhance the bar front and pro shop, we repurposed existing wood products and elements. Additionally, we opened up the grand staircase to the lounge and installed mahogany floors throughout. Lastly, the restoration of the ceiling wood beadboard further enriched the historical charm of the clubhouse.
